Azerbaijan Embassy in Austria

As the resident Azerbaijani mission in Austria, the Vienna embassy handles consular work that the eVisa does not cover. Typical requests include sticker visas in long-stay categories, passport and identity-document services for Azerbaijani citizens living in Austria, notarial acts, legalisation of Austrian-issued documents for use in Azerbaijan, and assistance to nationals in difficulty. Two honorary consulates — in Sankt Pölten and Salzburg — extend reach into Lower Austria and the western states.

For an ordinary holiday or short business visit, Austrian travellers do not need to attend the embassy: the Azerbaijan eVisa is issued entirely online and emailed as a PDF. The Vienna embassy is the right channel for visa categories that fall outside the eVisa (work, study, long-stay, family reunion), for legalising Austrian-issued documents, or for consular help such as replacing a lost passport. Austria's eVisa-eligible status means most leisure and business travellers complete the entire process without ever contacting the embassy.
