Consular Services
The Paris embassy focuses on work that the eVisa does not cover. Typical requests include sticker visas in long-stay categories, passport and identity services for Azerbaijani citizens resident in France, notarial acts, legalisation of French-issued documents for use in Azerbaijan, and emergency assistance for Azerbaijani nationals in France. The mission is also active in Azerbaijan's cultural and educational outreach in France.
Embassy or eVisa?
French travellers planning a holiday, a business trip or a short personal visit do not need to deal with the embassy: the Azerbaijan eVisa is issued entirely online and delivered by email. The Paris embassy becomes relevant when the purpose of travel falls outside the eVisa (work permits, student visas, long-stay residence, family reunion) or when a French-issued document needs to be legalised for official use in Azerbaijan. France being eVisa-eligible means the embassy's consular workload concentrates on long-stay and document-legalisation cases rather than routine tourism.
