Consular Services
From Tel Aviv, the embassy handles consular work for Israeli residents and the Azerbaijani community in Israel. Typical requests include sticker visas in long-stay categories (work, study, family reunion), passport and identity services for Azerbaijani citizens resident in Israel, notarial acts, the legalisation of Israeli-issued documents for use in Azerbaijan, and emergency assistance for nationals. The mission also works on a broad set of diplomatic, trade, defence-cooperation and cultural matters that reflect the unusual depth of the Azerbaijan-Israel partnership and the significant volume of business travel between the two countries.
Embassy or eVisa?
For Israeli travellers visiting Azerbaijan as tourists or for short business, the eVisa is the standard route — issued online and emailed as a PDF, typically within three business days. The Tel Aviv embassy is the appropriate contact when travel falls outside the eVisa scope (work permits, student visas, long-stay residence, family reunion) or when Israeli-issued documents must be legalised for official use in Azerbaijan. The depth of the bilateral relationship has produced a steady flow of business and cultural travel; for the vast majority of Israeli applicants the eVisa is the practical channel.
Apply for your Azerbaijan visa online
Most travellers don't need to visit the embassy — eligible nationalities can apply for the eVisa online.
Jurisdiction / Areas Served
The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Tel Aviv serves the whole of the State of Israel. There is currently no separate Azerbaijani consulate in Jerusalem, Haifa or Eilat; all consular work is centralised in Tel Aviv.
