Consular Services
The London embassy operates a dedicated consular department on its own direct line, reflecting the scale of consular activity generated by the UK's accredited reach. Typical work includes sticker visas in long-stay categories (work, study, family reunion), passport and identity services for Azerbaijani citizens across the UK and the accredited territories, notarial acts, the legalisation of British, Danish, Icelandic and Irish documents for use in Azerbaijan, and emergency assistance for nationals. The mission also supports Azerbaijan's cultural and educational outreach in the UK and contributes to the bilateral diplomatic relationship at the political and economic level.
Embassy or eVisa?
For British, Danish, Icelandic and Irish travellers visiting Azerbaijan for tourism or short business, the eVisa is the standard channel — submitted online and delivered by email without any embassy step. The London mission is the appropriate channel only for visa categories outside the eVisa (work, study, long-stay, family reunion) and for legalising UK or accredited-territory documents for official use in Azerbaijan. Applicants from Denmark, Iceland and the Republic of Ireland who require consular assistance outside the eVisa contact London directly, since the four jurisdictions share a single accredited mission.
Apply for your Azerbaijan visa online
Most travellers don't need to visit the embassy — eligible nationalities can apply for the eVisa online.
Jurisdiction / Areas Served
The Embassy of Azerbaijan in London serves the United Kingdom and is additionally accredited to the Kingdom of Denmark, Iceland and the Republic of Ireland. There is no separate Azerbaijani consulate in Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast, Copenhagen, Reykjavík or Dublin; all consular work for the four accredited territories is centralised in London.
